Event Design
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course deals with the fundamentals of event design, beginning with identifying client needs and preferences and researching design options and design elements that match the event goals and objectives.
COURSE OUTCOMES:
By the end of this course, students/participants will be able to:
• Conceptualize and design program components, content, and formats.
• Determine requirements for speakers and performers and develop selection criteria.
• Select suppliers and secure contracts.
• Determine food and beverage requirements, appropriate menu and service styles, and providers.
• Establish and select appropriate set-ups, decor, furnishings, and signage.
• Apply the staging and technical requirements for the event and develop the RFP for suppliers.
• Oversee a technical production for the event.
• Create admission and credentialing system, crowd management techniques, coordinate accommodations and transportation plan.
• Analyze protocol and ceremony requirements.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE UPON COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE AND 25 CMP CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT HOURS.
