COURSE DESCRIPTION

This module examines how to successfully determine marketing strategies essential to successful event marketing and their effectiveness for specific target audiences. Participants learn to create a comprehensive marketing and sponsorship plan.

COURSE OUTCOMES:

By the end of this course, students/participants will be able to:
• Prepare an event marketing plan.
• Manage marketing plan, marketing materials, event merchandise, sales activities, and public relations activities.
• Promote the event.
• Analyze target market research.
• Recognize and review available marketing distribution channels.
• Identify preferences for media.
• Collect historical data on past merchandise, define brand guidelines, examine legal rights, and list merchandise specifications.
• Name event sponsors and donors.
• Define event branding and message.
• Identify permits, legal requirements, and intellectual property.
