Empowering M.I.C.E. Professionals and Strategic Growth Across Region VII in Cebu (August 17–19, 2026)
The Philippine MICE Academy, in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 7, with OIC Regional Director Gelena N. Asis-Dimpas, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, with President Mr. Regan King, and the Cebu MICE Alliance, with President Ms. Cleofe Albiso, successfully conducted an intensive training series at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino from August 17 to 19, 2026.
The program empowered regional stakeholders through MICE 101 and MICE 102, covering key areas such as event marketing, developing conventions, exhibitions and incentive packages, strategic bidding, protocol, sustainability, and building effective partnerships. A major highlight of the training was the competitive group presentation, where Team “MICE Titans” earned top honors for their winning proposal, “Sunworld Beyond Borders: Sustainable Cebu Experience.” The proposal featured a community legacy project that included the donation of custom trisikads to Ulango.
Through this collaborative effort, the Philippine MICE Academy and its three regional partners continue to strengthen the capabilities of MICE professionals and stakeholders while contributing to the growth of Central Visayas as a competitive and world-class destination for business tourism.
