Philippine M.I.C.E. Academy Ignites M.I.C.E. Tourism Potential in GenSan (May 5–7, 2026)

The Philippine MICE Academy proudly partnered with the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region XII to bring world-class event education to the SOCCSKSARGEN region. Held at the Venue 88 Hotel & Events Place in General Santos City from May 5 to 7, 2026, the comprehensive MICE 101 and 102 training programs successfully equipped local professionals with the skills to transform their vibrant region into a premier destination for business events.

The initiative kicked off with an Introduction to MICE followed by the Strategic Event Planning session and workshop. The interactive training culminated in highly creative group presentations, where the "Mickey MICE" team ultimately earned the highest score as scored by their expert Panelists with their comprehensive and timely pitch for a local SOX MICE Summit.

A monumental milestone of this foundational course was the strategic formation of the SOX MICE Alliance Ad Hoc Committee, uniting private and government stakeholders to effectively champion the region's MICE tourism brand.
