Philippine M.I.C.E. Academy Advances MICE Education in the Bicol Region

The Philippine MICE Academy proudly partnered with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), the Department of Tourism Region V, and the Provincial Government of Sorsogon for the successful conduct of the MICE 101 and 102 Trainings held at Villa Isabel Hotel & Resort, Sorsogon City, on October 21–23, 2025.

As the official training partner, the Philippine MICE Academy led the delivery of comprehensive sessions designed to strengthen the Bicol Region’s capacity in hosting and managing business events. The two-level training covered a wide range of topics that provided participants with both foundational and advanced knowledge in MICE planning and operations.

The MICE 101 sessions covered the Philippine MICE Roadmap, event fundamentals, incentive travel, exhibitions, and destination promotion, highlighting the MICE industry’s role in tourism growth. Meanwhile, MICE 102 delved into advanced topics such as event marketing, operations management, partnership building, bidding, and evaluation, equipping participants with practical tools to enhance their event management skills and regional competitiveness.

The Philippine MICE Academy continues to advocate for professional development and capacity building within the MICE sector. By bringing structured and industry-aligned training programs to the regions, the Academy helps local stakeholders transform their destinations into thriving, event-ready communities.

The Academy extends its appreciation to TPB, DOT Region V, and the Provincial Government of Sorsogon for their partnership and shared vision in advancing regional MICE excellence. Together, these efforts reinforce the importance of collaboration in driving tourism growth and positioning the Philippines as a premier MICE destination in Asia.
