The Philippine MICE Academy, in partnership with the Puerto Princesa City Tourism Office and with support from the Tourism Promotions Board, successfully completed a three-day MICE 101 & 102 training program in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, held from October 15-17, 2024, at the Aziza Paradise Hotel.
The training was a significant opportunity for tourism professionals, local stakeholders, and event planners to acquire vital knowledge and practical skills needed to elevate the region’s Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions, and Events (MICE) industry. A major highlight of the event was the formation of a MICE Alliance, participated by representatives from various industries, including restaurants, accommodations, event organizers, transportation, and travel services. This newly created Alliance aims to boost cooperation among key players in the sector and solidify Palawan’s position as an emerging destination for MICE events in the Philippines.
The comprehensive training workshop, which included both beginner-level (MICE 101) and intermediate (MICE 102) lectures and discussions, showcased strategies for hosting world-class business events and pushed forward the region’s readiness to cater to international conferences and exhibitions in the future.
